Because Italian club AC Milan decided not to renew his contract and the centre forward still didn't find another club, former Barcelona player Ronaldo (31) is at this moment still available on a free transfer.
Ronaldo, who is nowadays recovering from a knee injury in Brazil, has been linked to several interested clubs in the past weeks but no deal has been closed.
Arriving from Dutch club PSV Eindhoven in the summer of 1996, Ronaldo played one season for Barcelona. After renewal negotiations failed, the Brazilian striker left in 1997 for Italian club Inter Milan.

best striker to have ever worn the blaugrana shirt. Was absolutely unstoppable in his prime. The Ronaldo that played for us that season is definitely my favourite striker of all time.

I'm right with you, JR. But that's a far cry from the chubby, travestis-loving ex-striker of today. I don't like when players who were so spectacular hang on too long. Even with Milan he was at death's door on the pitch.
He would be good, and better than Gudjohnsen no matter where u put them on the field.
Ronaldo had his best season at Barcelona. That year he really was the best striker in the world, a shame that they couldn't find an agreement.
