Barcelona has announced today that the loan deal with Barcelona goal keeper and Celta Vigo loan out José Manuel Pinto (32) has been made permanent. Celta Vigo has confirmed the news.
The statement on the official website of Barcelona reads: "FC Barcelona have exercised their right to buy José Manuel Pinto from Celta Vigo and informed the Galician club of their decision to make his move to Camp Nou longer on Friday. The right to buy had to be exercised before May 31 and was agreed upon when the loan deal was signed with Celta on January 17. Barça paid €500,000 for Pinto in the January transfer window. The player will now sign a two-year contract with FC Barcelona, even though on June 30, 2009 either side can break it."
