Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola is interested in Getafe right back defender David Cortés (28) (read more here).
Since Oleguer and Puyol are no natural right back players, Cortés is seen as the ideal back-up for Sevilla defender and Brazilian international Dani Alvés. The Getafe defender can also play at the left back position and is that way also an option in case Barcelona would decide to accept a good offer that could come in for Abidal or Sylvinho.

he can play on both sides.
for the right price I would take him.does he have a fixed fee?
we have got to start selling some guys too.
i'm thinking about deco marquez
jordy
In an earlier report (click "Getafe right back looked at") 3 million euro was mentioned.
I know this might sound crazy, but I actually prefer him to Alves...
We all know Alves is the better player, but Del Nido keeps pissin me off... Don't overpay for Alves... He's a great player, but don't overpay...
Cortes is not the same attacking option on the wing as Alves, but he is the better defender... I'd take him for 3 million euros
