Madrid sports tabloid As claims that new Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola would consider to offer Barcelona left wing attacker Santiago Ezquerro (31) a surprise contract renewal.

Guardiola would nevertheless think that the Spanish winger is a reliable player who could be a good substitute.

Well when you consider that the club doesn't currently have a "true" left winger on the roster I guess holding onto Ezquerro as a back up makes sense. I just hope and pray that Guardiola doesn't play Henry on the left wing again next season because that is not maximizing his stiking capabilities. I think it's pretty much inevitable that either Eto'o or Henry have to go because essentialy they play the same position (central striker)...This team sorely needs a "true" starting left winger and Guardado would be my #1 choice if money was no exception. I would also consider Capel, but only if Guardado was out of reach.
