Caceres too expensive for Barcelona

Madrid sports tabloid Marca claims that Barcelona sports director has contacted Recreativo Huelva central defender Martín Cáceres (21) to hear more about his situation (read more here).


The Uruguayan player belongs to Villareal and to Daniel Fonseca, the former Uruguayan international who represents Cáceres. Because Cáceres will not move for less than 20 million euro°, Barcelona has put the option aside for the moment.

Hate to beat a dead horse but I guess that's what Barca get for falling asleep at the wheel with Garay. I just hope they don't get into panic mode and start grasping at straws. Personally I would make sure I had Alves and Silva signed, sealed and delivered before filling this spot. That way you have a better sense of how much money you will have left over to spend. I just think the right back and left wing position should be a higher priority at this point.
