It is said that Barcelona could have been willing to listen to offers coming in one month ago, future Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola has now vetoed a transfer of the Catalan player, although a rival for Valdés could be brought in this summer (read more here).

Keeping him plus tranfering a good second goal keeper should o. It's not because of Valdes the team hasn't been good the last two years.

I think Ustari from Getafe would fit perfectly in Barca.

I can't understand why on earth Guardiola would "veto" such a move unless he felt Valdes was better than any other goalkeeper on the market? Despite the horrible defensive support in front of him this past season, Valdes is NOT a #1 goalkeeper! One of the priorities on this club should be finding a goalkeeper to replace him or at the very least finding a young talent to groom for the future. I hate to say it, but Guardiola's already making some questionable decisions that are making me more and more nervous about next season.
