New talks with Silva

Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Barcelona sports director Txiki Begiristain had yesterday intense contacts with the entourage of Valencia left winger and Spanish international David Silva (22). Although the player would like to leave Valencia after a dramatic season and Barcelona thinks he would fit perfectly with the club, no final agreement with the player has yet been reached.

Barcelona did not yet start negotiating with Valencia. Silva would have a buyout clause of 18 million euro°, but Valencia could be willing to drop that fee since the club is rebuilding a new team for next season.

I prefer him over Malouda. I think he's just more dynamic and we need that.

What? 20 million euro? Isnt that bulshit? I remember an article where it was said that his buyout clause is 90 mio.

Click "Looking for a left winger".

It's what this paper says. We'll see who's right later on,I guess. Although 18 million seems really too low.

Last summer they were fast and look at the result...

If they need more time to deliver, they can take as much as they want as I'm concerned. But they'll have to deliver, of course.

15-18million would be a fair price. If nasri costs 15m I would have liked him to join barça too.
Arsene wenger would be a great manager for barça!he's got great eye for talent

@wo100sest
It's not bullshit, apparently this is his buyout clause. Villa's is about 90M€, maybe you confuse with him.

If that buyout figure is correct, or even in the same ballpark consider it the steal of the century for Barcelona! I think Barca would be foolish to "sit" on this player. Barca "sat" on Garay and look what happened! I rest my case! Silva's is without a doubt the "ideal" fit at that left winger position which desperately needs to be filled. There's no question that if the asking prices are similar you would take Silva over Malouda any day of the week! Txixi needs to sign this guy before Real Madrid starts poking their noses into it and wind up snatching him away from us! Missing out on Garay was bad enough. Missing out again, this time with Silva would be criminal!

To Eduard: I dont know. Its hard to believe that such a class player has his buyout clause so low.

"The first name on the list would be that of Valencia left winger David Silva (22). He is seen as the most complete candidate for the spot. With a contract until 2014 and a buyout clause of 90 million euro°, a transfer of Silva will nevertheless be a difficult operation."

Its not a confusion. I have really read that. But if it would be 18, great! :)

Sport today says 18, El Mundo Deportivo a while ago said 90.

So at least one of them is wrong. And maybe they both are... ;-)

WHAT??!!!! 18 million for silva???somebody pinch me. even if it was double that amount i would consider it a reasonable price. silva is definitely one of the best midfielders to have ever come out of spain and when you look at spanish midfielders, that is really saying something.just imagine, you have messi on the right cutting in with alves overlappping and on the other side you have silva waiting to show everybody a magic trick.mouth watering prospect...
