Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona polyvalent defender and midfielder Víctor Sánchez (21) played earlier this month his fifth official game in Spain.
This makes it impossible for him to be loaned out to a Spanish club during the January transfer window and would immediately mean that the player won't leave this month.
The Catalan player appeared in four league games, two as a starter (Athletic Bilbao and Mallorca) and two as a substitute (Almería and Málaga). Víctor Sánchez, whose contract expires in the summer of 2011, also played the return game of the 1/16 finals of the Spanish cup against Benidorm.
