Visitors of the official FIFA website could vote over the past weeks for the Team of the 2008. With Dani Alves just losing the battle for the right back position, Barcelona has three players in the team:
Casillas
Ramos - Terry - Puyol - Lahm
Kaka - Gerrard - Xavi - Ribery
Ronaldo - Messi

its a fantasy team.... they wont win many matches. Champions lig, Yes, but not many leagues.. Very unbalanced. But I get the whole idea.. the best 11 players last year i guess. But I woul only change Rio F of MAN U for Terry
i have always asked for Ribery to be bought but MAN CITY has made Bayern think twice. Since they failed to get KAKA.. I just read this :
10.12am - Bayern Munich have slapped an incredible £140million transfer tag on midfielder Franck Ribery.
noubarca, this is from the Sun isn't it? How reliable are they generally for transfer rumours ? I have only heard bad-reports about them so far n they have always been rubbished as a cheap tabloid.
well, with Mancitys "spending form".. I wouldnt doubt it. If you heard Messi now has a bouy out of £300Mil, would yu doubt it? But you are correct most of their storries are not true..less than half is true
I hope they do make it 300 mill. Apparently AS believes that NOW is the time for RM to move for Kaka as he pulled out of the City deal coz he actually wanted to sign for Real. This notwithstanding all the statements about affection from the fans n the club. How deluded are these ppl ?? Anyway, i figure City might set their sights on Messi next. I don't believe those Arab shakes have heard of more than some 2 or 3 players. Its gonna be either Messi or the fake Ronaldo.
I think this team would look better as a 4-3-3
Casillas
Ramos Terry Puyol Lahm
Xavi Gerrard Kaka
Ronaldo Messi Ribery
I just heard on SKY sports UK that Ribbery's owner said he wouldnt sell him for anything under 140M£, IF city are desperate, they might buy him (for around £70).. and i dont think Bayern fans would make a fuss
I'll go for Maicon for starting right back.
And I'm not too sure about Lahm being the starting left back......
