Wow, looks like Valdes is running away with the Zamora trophy. He is miles ahead of the pack!

Eto'o needs to get back to his scoring ways if he wants to win the Pichichi. Villa too is having a bit of a lean period but I am sure he'll snap out of it soon.

Eto'o scored two goals in our last league match... So not sure what you mean with "has to get back to his scoring ways".

yeah, me too, he's ahead with three goals, 18 goals in 19 games played. and he was suspended for one. although he didn't score in some that he played in. I hate his personality but it is this high-voltaged spirit that makes him dangerous, because he plays his heart out when he's happy, and while his not very professional way of behaving off the pitch has to be contained all the time and is giving us a headache, till we find a better replacement that electrify the opponent defense, we shall be content with what we have. and it's not by any means a small amount what we settle for with Eto'o.

You forget one of those was a penalty, which Puyol had won. The other one was a simple tap in, a scrappy goal in my opinion.

What I mean is he needs to be more menacing, creating chances for himself and scoring.. like during the first half of the season (before the Winter break)..

Going purely form-wise I feel Henry is doing a better job than Eto'o at the moment.

well sure, Eto'o might not be playing like earlier in the season, but everyone goes through moments like these. I'm glad he's having it right now, so that he will be back to great form when the important matches come in the Champions League.

The Zamora trophy is organized by Marca, Davor, and what I put here is the official ranking like it is given by Marca:

Palop at this moment probably doesn't fulfil some of the conditions to be a candidate (not enough games played?).

Like you say, sashi: goals conceded per match. Valdés has conceded 13 goals in 19 matches. Diego Lopez has 25 in 19 matches.
