Semko, Guardiola and Eto'o did indeed have a row, over stretching, apparently. Eto'o wasn't going about the right way, and Guardiola called him on it. Eto'o snapped on Guardiola, who sent him to the showers.

We don't need that kind of nonsense. It's the one thing that can derail this team. Hopefully it was hot heads and a one off event.

The match, meanwhile, was pretty terrible. No pace, no rhythm, even when Xavi and Messi came on. Guardiola wanted the away goal, but Espanyol were determined not to concede, however they had to.

With the match being next Wednesday, to advance we have to play the big boys at home, a few days after a league match and a few days beFORE a league match.

Which is why I wouldn't be all that bummed if we went out of the Copa.

Also, Marquez went off injured. No word on the severity yet. The official site just says a "knock" to his left calf.

Didn't catch enough of the game but from what i did it seems that Pep has excessive confidence in the abilities of Busquets and Gudjohnsen. Guddy can't really handle the playmaker role and shouldn't be made to. It would probably have a been a better idea to start Iniesta in that position and I wish Guardiola had given Pedro a start. Only goes to show how vital Xavi's passing and imagination is to this team. For that matter he is likely to spoil any team he ever plays for.
