Barcelona wants Van Persie for the left wing

Madrid sports tabloid Marca unconfirmedly claims that Barcelona is interested in Arsenal winger and Dutch international Robin van Persie (25).

Barcelona wants to sign Van Persie next summer since Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola and Barcelona sports director Txiki Begiristain see the player as the ideal candidate
to fill the gap on the left wing.

Barcelona would already have sounded out the entourage of the player and Van Persie would be delighted about joining Barelona.

The Dutch wing attacker has given Barcelona the green light to start talking with Arsenal but the English Premier League club, that has offered the player to renew his contract, nevertheless doesn't seem to be willing to let Van Persie go next year.

I agree with the comment above Van Persie is to injury prone and inconsistent but he is still a good talent and he would add a lot of depth too our squad but if we want a left winger i would personally go after Silva again to see if we could get him this time because it looks like Valencia need money and we were so close to signing him in the summer but i feel we could get him now and if we can't get him my third choice would be Afellay;he is quick and has a good technique and an excellent shot. Those would be my choices.I know people out there would say Ribery would be better which is true but i am looking at realistic options we might be able to get.

No Van Persie please. I think he's one of the most talented footballers around, but he's as people have mentioned injury prone, inconsistent and on top of that he's annoying little bastard. He would disrupt the whole team (his colleagues at Arsenal even complain about him being an annoying twat)

Barca definitely need a natural born left winger. But, if we look closely, Barca have Iniesta, Hleb and Henry (not an option for winger, but...) on that spot. So, I wouldn't go for left wing till next summer. Iniesta is playing great, something like R10 (and he wasn't left winger too).

Everything depends on Guardiola's decision to keep Iniesta left or not. If not, I'd like to see someone like Ribery, but it can't happen.
Personally, I'm not v.Persie fan, although he's playing great this season. But, he's constantly injured and he didn't play last 2 seasons + Wenger will ask a high price, that's for sure.

Some suggestions:
-Di Maria
-Arshavin
-Affelay
-Zhirkov

When Marca drop a Hint, its a fantasy tale.

And i agree, he is an injury prone, its a shame for such a great talent.

I am still not sure if its a coincidence or there is something wrong in the way the talents are raised in Holland recently, Injury problems is a trade mark for this generation, if those talented guys are just little more reliable...

van persie is a very good striker. often underrated.

since pep, everything changed in my view of soccer... pep can do everything... imagine how persie could perform at the left side. to buy him doesn't mean he would definitely play on the left side. we would have more strategies.

we should trust in the board. i did never expect that barca could do so well within half a year.

I really like van persie's style, but like people mentioned, he is to injury prone and inconsistent and sometimes his character is a little bit annoying...

Furthermore he isn't a natural winger, he's at his best playing behind the striker or as a second striker in a 4-4-2 formation...

I also saw some people mention affelay... he is really talented, but just like van Persie he's very injury prone, has an attitude problem and isn't a natural winger...

It seems hard these days to find a genuine left winger... I really like robben but that seems impossible... and robinho too...

Another issue is wether barca would like a right footed left winger like ronaldinho was, or a real left winger with a dominant left foot...

i would prefer walcott... he's super fast and very skillfull...

Aint it funny how all these guys i mentioned usually get to playing around 20 matches a season due to reoccuring injuries...

is this now BARSENAL FC or wot?

Henry, Hleb, (Fab 2 return) Ade, (linked to us), now its V.Persie. I like him but the comments above are true, very injury prone and about consistency, he wld be if he plays for us as he would be fresh. He wouldnt have to play every game like he has to @ AFC. I would rather have Asharvin.

stop buying players from arsenal
im having trouble answering fans who say barca is an arsenal wanna be
hleb-henry-fabregas-adebayor-van persie iyhink that's enough
we should have our own identity
(not that arsenal will ever be as big as us but still)
it just like milan did with us (ronaldinho-zambrotta-and they wanted bojan-messi-puyol-eto'o-rijkaard-dos santos)

i think he is the best option we can get on the left wing.(robben or v persie seem to be the only genuin left wingers!) yes he is fragile. but rather that then less quality! Unfortunatly I think we can't buy him!

good player very inconsistent and injury prone and maybe not be mobile/quick enough for barcelona LW position.

buy diego and aguero and we'll finished.
1. aguero for lw i think OK
2. diego in attacking midfield OK
3. we gonna need a lb because sylvinho and abidal will be sold.I prefer cacérés

and one or two talents.

The most overrated player in Europe today...Please keep Thierry henry

RVP is not the right personality for this team. He is very streaky and has had off pitch issues as well.

We can find better quality and better value.

he is talented. but i enjoy Barca's complicated passing near the box and i think a winger would ruin that
