Barcelona doesn't plan to buy or sell in January

Asked about the coming winter transfer window, Barcelona sports vice-president Rafael Yuste has said in an interview with Catalan radio station Catalunya Ràdio that Barcelona hasn't planned any incoming or outgoing transfers:

"I don't think we're going to be active in January because we have a good and balanced squad. Besides, Iniesta gets better every day and he'll soon have totally recovered from his injury."

the best thing that happened this years was adebayor not coming to barca,i f he had come we would play with more crosses and more with a target man infront ,and basically change the beatiful kind of football we play these days,

these games we have played so far show that we dont need a target striker, even when we play with messi and hleb upfront we are playing great

this team doesnt need any players now,and the good thing is that most of our players are young .the only player that needs change in the summer is sylvinho (i doupt caceres can learn how to play lb efficiently)

also if henry leaves we will need another winger ,silva/di maria would be my favorites, but even then you have bojan and pedro in the squad too .....damn its good to be a barcelona fan these days.

this team reminds me the dream team we had 3 years ago,the only thing the board should matter is the contract talks, just keep the guyz together.

Better not to disturb the squad now. Summer will be the time to add anything new to the squad. Maybe sylvinho will leave and we may either get another left back or perhaps caceres can do that job. Besides that i cant see too many changes to the squad. Perhaps a new left winger. Although iniesta can play there.

Good point skanjos.. I like the way we play now.. We need fast technical players like eto'o, messi, iniesta and henry in front.

What do ya guys think abt buying Arshavin for a Super-Sub.
We need some-one if Messi and Iniesta are rested at the same time.
Hleb can play on the left. But we cant use Boajn in starting 11 for high profile games. We need someone more experienced.
I feel that is One thing Barca is lacking in the squad.
Itz obvious ! Messi cant play each n every game.
We need a Super-Sub

I think arshavin is too expensive. The numbers that his club are calling are just ridiculous for somebody who is 28 and has never had any major experience outside of russia. Personally i'd like to see pedro jeffren gai and bojan get more time. Better to save to money that we would spend on arshavin and look towards cesc and benzema that are the supposed long term targets of el presidente.

The only one I'd consider bringing in is if Valencia decided to let David Silva go. Since that is highly unlikely I think the best is if Barça don't do anything.

I agree with you Denari. Silva is better than all options. He would be a perfect sub for Xavi and an option for the left wing. I don't know if we could put Silva and Xavi together in the midfield though. Keep in mind that no big names are available for transfer in January, except maybe Silva. Really, defense is covered, midfield is covered (except for Xavi) and offense is well covered (except a bit for Messi, but we can survive La Liga without him)
