Quote of the day: Valdés

Although I respect every opinion, the criticism of someone who has never been a goalkeeper is worth nothing to me.

Víctor Valdés, Barcelona player

He has a point,

Good statement. Whenever someone on my team blames me for something I do in goal, I normally silence it out.

One has to love him...

He just doesn't care a bit about the opinion of others!

What a bad ass MF this boy is.. :D

No keeper in the world get as much critics as he gets, and still stand tall and do his job the best way he know.
Credit for that, and as i said many times he is much better than he is rumored to be.

bad thing to say.there are legends in this game(sure those wont critisese him but ....who werent keepers too but their opinion should mean sth to valdes caise they played with great keepers in their time)
also if guardiola critiseses valdes after a match will it mean nothing to valdes cause guardiola was never a gk?

bad comment from the lad and in an unessesery time, although i agree that he is the teams black sheep when it comes to critisism(i mean he gets the most)along with eto.

people should stop complaing about valdes ,he is a great goalkeeper.not excellent like van der saar,or casilas but a great keeper.

if you want to judge Valdes look at the so called best keeper in the world.. Casillas.. totally crap season, why?? because when the whole team collapses the keeper is gona concede goals, a lot of them, thats how it works..
some would say Casillas is better when play for spain, and i say, yes , simply because of the likes of Poyol is watching his back!!!!
btw Alves is the best Keeper in Liga so far as he accepted only 8 goals in 11 matches, and Casillas?? 17 goals so far!!

i'm alright with valdes and i agree he's not as bad as people may say but waleed, one has to admit that casillas is on a different level and you can't say either that he's not good at madrid. without him, last season would have been very different and the season before would have definetely gone to us... they didn't have a good defence the past two years either, casillas saved them almost every week. judge the two not just by looking at this season which has only just started but look at the past few years at then at how many games they've saved for their respective team. as said, casillas did that almost every game while i think valdes lost as many for us as we won...

It's not Valde's fault that he is
Barca's GK, it's Laporta's fault.
