British tabloid The Daily Mail claims that English Premier League clubs Tottenham and Chelsea and Italian champions Inter Milan are closely monitoring the events surrounding Barcelona forward and Cameroonian international Samuel Eto'o (27).
With Barcelona wanting to solve the situation in the coming week, Tottenham and Chelsea could be set to battle it out for the striker.
Tottenham is said to be in pole position since Barcelona is keen on Tottenham forward Berbatov, who could be included in the deal. Tottenham manager Juande Ramos would be a long-time admirer of Eto'o.

Just wanted to say Pep what a bang up job your doing on the site. This is the first site I check each day and it's the ONLY site I reference for the latest Barcelona news, rumors and gossip. Great work my friend!...
Nothing new with these latest rumors, I would be surprised if Eto'o where to leave at this point. I don't agree with an Eto'o for Berbatov swap because I stand my ground that Eto'o's the better player hands down and vice versa with Tottenham sharing a similar view regarding Berbatov so that leaves both sides at a stalemate. So I don't forsee a straight swap happening anytime soon.
I don't see Eto'o moving to Inter. Frankly I've just never imagined that scenario playing out even if they were able to meet his personal wage demands.
Chelsea's the only team I could ever see Eto'o moving to and I could see him wearing the blue jersey as well. They have no shortage of cash, the only thing that remains is if Drogba and Eto'o can put their egos aside and partner together in a 4-4-2 system. Frankly I don't see it happening. I'm starting to believe that selling Henry rather than Eto'o might be a more realistic possibility at this point.
I know what you mean, Henry still seems to have not adapted to our style yet....Eto'o however is finding the net with style, keep him because he is so much better than a lot of strikers in this world and he fits perfect with Barca style of play. If they sell anyone it should be Henry but I still want Henry to stay because he is a big threat when on top of his form. Just work on the winger instead of a striker, GO GET SILVA!
well done cojonudo
nickr I TOTALLY AGREE....MY POINT EXACTLY ...THEY NEED TO SELL HENRY EVEN THOUGH EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT HE WILL BE GIVEN HIS SHOT AT CENTRAL STRIKER FOR LEAST THIS SEASON>>> SOME HOW HENRY HASN'T FIT INTO BARCA"S PAYING STYLE.. ETO'O SHOULD BE GIVEN A FREAKING CONTRACT EXTENSION, TO SOLIDIFY HIS PLACE AS A BARCA LEGEND. IVE ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT HIS CONTRIBUTIONS WERE OVERSHADOWED BY THOSE OF RONALDINHO. FURTHERMORE, WE SHUD ACQUIRE BENZEMA NEXT SEASON TO PARTNER WITH ETO'o AND BOJAN.
Thank, cojo. Every now and then we like the appreciation...
In all modesty and how strange it may sound if you take into account that this is a one-person amateur blog while there are dozens of sites out there with paid professional journalists, I think this is the best you will find on the net (when it comes down to transfers). I missed something out there and that's actually why I started it.
If you like it, spread it!
