Trezeguet serious option to replace Eto'o

Italian newspaper La Stampa claims that future Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola has put Juventus forward David Trezeguet (30) on top of his transfer wish list and thinks theFrenchman is the best suited candidate to replace Barcelona forward and Cameroon international Samuel Eto'o.

Antonio Caliendo, the agent of Trezeguet, told the paper that everything is possible but that juventus doesn't have plans to let the striker go: "The offer will have to be very high to convince Juventus to give up a centre forward of his level." The paper claims Trezeguet would cost between 25 and 30 million euro°.

Barca has Henry and Bojan, why is Josep looking for another striker before he resolve the problem with the Left wing forward. If they are seriously going to play Henry there, as previously stated, then it proves that he should not be manager of this club. Henry as many has already agreed with on this blog, is a central striker and should start there. Plus, 30m could be better used.

Many months until the start of next season and I'm already doubting Barca's ability to win the league as the people in charge are not seeing why the club failed last season.

Still don't see why they want to get rid of Eto'o so bad.

The Eto'o situation has nothing to do with how well he does the pitch. I don't know the details but both player and club feels that it may be better for him to leave this year.

Whoever decided that etoo should leave is a real dumbass. And if henry is going to play on the left wing, then the board might well have appointed me as a manager.

Besides,if etoo is going to leave then the only player who can really replace him is ibrahimovic.Trezeguet is way too old to be worth 30 million.Ive suggested this before and im saying it again.Send gio, etoo and deco to inter and get maicon and ibrahimovic from them.

As much as I am dissapointed at Eto'o's lack of maturity and lack of judgement at times I still think he's much too valuable to let go. I've said it before and I'll say it again - unless you are GUARANTEED to get either Aguero, Huntelaar or Benzema there is absolutely no way I would part with Eto'o. Eto'o is a PROVEN commodity in La Liga let's not forget! and unless HE is pushing for a move to another club I would hold on to him. As much as I admire his "passion" to win, I just wish he could redirect his emotions and feelings in a more positive and constructive way. In other words....THINK before you speak!

Pls DO NOT sign Trezeguet... Simple

Just read some reports that David Villa is up for 17 Mil?? Why would you sign Trezeguet for almost double the price?

Plus there was a comment above that Henry playing as a left winger is not his optimal position.

Maybe the priority to sign a class left winger should be more up there... Eventhough the current asking price for David Silva is around 30 Mil (and Barca was only considering the player with the price of 20 Mil, which is a reasonable price)

There could be a change for David Silva as reports also mentioned that previously David Villa would only be going for 40 Mil and now reports mentioned its 17 Mil..

Situation might change with Silva playing as a left winger
