Although the club stays very interest in the player, Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that Barcelona is not prepared to pay an excessive transfer fee for Valencia left winger and Spanish international David Silva (22).
Barcelona thinks that 20 million euro° is a correct price according to the current market conditions. When Valencia would ask more (read more here), Silva, who has a buyout clause of 90 million euro°, wouldn't be a priority anymore.
Madrid sports tabloid Marca claims that Silva certainly won't force his way out of Valencia, but that the player will not accept that every offer will be automatically rejected (read more here). Barcelona has already informally put forward a fee of 20 million euro°, but it is believed that Valencia will only be ready to listen to bids between 30 and 35 million euro°.
New Valencia manager Unai Emery meanwhile said to journalists that he won't veto an exit of Silva: "If an offer is to the benefit of the club, I will adapt to the new situation without any problem."
