Well as a native Spaniard I don't know wether to be confident that maybe this will be the year they finally break through, or resign myself to the reality that this is the most underachieving team in Europe year in year out. Some say they are one of the favorites to win the whole thing. But they could just as easily fail to make it out of the group stage. One thing I know is that nothing this team does suprises me anymore.
Guess Italy, France and Portugal are probably the favourites. Spain should be in the group of "shadow favourites" behind those three.
The Spanish defense doesn't seem very reliable to me. Plus: for some reason several players seem to lose a lot of their qualities when they put on that shirt.
Good to know also spaniards are reading this blog, by the way!
