Barcelona monitors Ronaldo events

Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that both the current Barcelona board as former Barcelona sports vice president Sandro Rosell, a probable candiate in the possibly upcoming presidential elecions, are closely following the events surrounding Manchester United winger and Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo (23).

Both parties want to be prepared just in case Manchester United would declare the Portuguese transferable and put him on the market.

Madrid sports tabloid Marca claims, like this blog reported yesterday, that Cristiano Ronaldo would be the big election promise of Rosell if elections would be held this year (read more here).

Rosell believes that he has solid arguments to convince the Manchester United player, who dreams about moving to the Primera División one day, to reject the Madrid offer and to join Barcelona instead. The former Barcelona board member could already have made the first steps to make a transfer to Barcelona possible.

Someone needs to make this whole transfer "saga" into a TV show. I can see it now...Ronaldo flying in to Madrid ready to sign the official papers while Calderon takes one right between the eyes from his chauffer on his way to the airport to greet him. A limo and a caravan of three SUV's led by Rossell are ready and in place to greet Ronaldo on the tarmac. Once the cabin door opens and Ronaldo is standing in the doorway you hear, "the package has arrived" from a sniper on the rooftop. He get's the text message "TERMINATE" and with Ronaldo in his crosshairs takes him out with one clean shot to the forehead! Ronaldo's limp body tumbles down the flight of stairs. Rossell jumps in the limo as it screeches away while his entourage ducks behind the SUV's for cover. The text message reads "DONE" and with his back to the camera and looking out the ground floor windows in his library all you see is the silhouette of a grey haired man. Suddenly the maid walks in, "Mr. Ferguson, your afternoon tea." and the screen cuts to black.

I know it's just trashtalk, but I think that Barca does not need another "My dream is to play for Real" player...

I personaly Don't like ronaldo. however i don't deny his talent and capabilities, I concede that he desevers the ballon d'or. But I would't want him at Barcelona IMO Barca don't need more ego in their dressing room if Ronaldinho, Eto'o and Deco end up leaving I'd replace them with excelent players but not with big names. I think this is what the Barca squad should look like next season.
1.Valdes,2.Alves,3.Milito,4.Marquez
5.Puyol,6.Xavi,7.Guiza,8.Iniesta,
9.Bojan,10.Messi,11.Hleb,12.Piquet
13.Pinto,14.Henry,15.Caceres,16.
Sylvinho,17.Corsas,18.Vasquez,
19.Toure,20.Pedrito,21.Keita,
22.Abidal,23.Oleguer,24.Gai....
Bear in mind the 4 promoted players from Barca Athletic will be back ups that will barely feature except perhaps for Marc Corsas who I think should be preped to eventualy take over for Xavi in the future.
Also I'd secure a first option on Karim Benzeyma for the 2009/10 season.Plus if Guardolia has his heart set on Sergio Garcia I'd sign him as a Back up if he'll accept. Let me know what you think

I dont like ronaldo very much due to his characteristic. But what do you think can barcelona sign ronaldo.?

How can you say that about Ronaldo? He is the best player in the World! He is the COMPLETE player; as a playmaker, finisher, is physically strong and most importantly can play with both feet.
He's better than Messi, who has disappointed me this season and it seems like will not reach his potential: I hope I'm wrong!!! Messi is fragile and it looks like he will get injured every season...Also, sometimes Messi doesn't take the right decisions; getting carried away with the ball instead of passing to an unmarked player.

But the worst thing is that ronaldo thinks himself the best playa in the world. He hasn't got any humble even as loyality.Such a disgusting thing what he'd done with MU and Sir Alex.
He's personality is pathetic.I don't want to see him in Barca. And one more thing. If Messi get a season without injuries,he will dazzle us.
