I cross my fingers for Messi having an injury-free season. Let's see what Ronaldo has to say next year!
Next season Xavi, Messi and Eto'o will be at least top-10 with Messi as winner.
if messi stays healthy and maintain "at least" his current form( pretty much the best player on the earth right now:), there is no way he is not going to win the trophy next year. god stay with us and do not let the kid suffer.
Can someone please explain why Torres would be above Casillas?
Im very disappointed on how sports pick there winners these days. In every sport, worldwide - there is something seriously wrong here. I know none of you prolly dont know or dont care .... but its just like the BCS in America, with the college football. How do you compare bananas with pumpkin seeds. Its really disgrace.. you cant compare two different players fro m two different leagues, different styles and different attitude on and off the pitch. Im sure everyone would have many suggestions on how this can be fixed or maybe most of you are happy with how its done and the results that were givin.
Just me, out of the whole list the one player I did not want to win and get any credit on what he does on and off the pitch is anything award worthy. This mann is constantly crying on the pitch and making complaints about every play when he cant get to the ball. He is absoulte horror this year and ManU is a mess, last year ronaldo cried and complained his way to 40 goals and was constantly full of self in the process. Meanwhile, everyone else on the list, contributes more than C.Ronaldo every does on the pitch as A TEAM. So easy to to score in the english league than any other league. I cant stand EPL and anything that comes from that area.....Im disappointed with some players going over there and happy with others leaving. I personally think the awards have to do with exactly what everyone else said....money media and misconception. At the end of the day this is my thought and im very glad someone with such high caliber as messi, didnt win this. If it wasnt for him proven himself and wanting the trophy for his case, id tell messi fuk all the awards and bullshit that media pushes. Do what you been doin, and by far you will be the one of the best to lace up! Injuries or not!
FYI - USA(america) just announced the ground breaking dec. 1st of a new 120000 seat stadium for a new MLS team. No team has been announced, but the stadium is def being built. Im not sure what that means for Miami, since the stadium was built in Maryland, Baltimore. Which if your unaware of the country...its about 100miles south of NEW YORK CITY. *shrugz*
Ok, I'm from Baltimore... one, there's definitley no new stadium being built here... two, if there were a stadium being built for an MLS team it certainly wouldn't be for 120,000 people... maybe 12,000... and three, Baltimore is a long shot for getting an MLS team with D.C. United being so close... they have a hard enough time filling seats now... they wouldn't take the Baltimore area fan base away. And not to be petty, but fourth... NYC is closer to 200 miles away... a good 4 hour drive with some traffic. Where exactly are you getting any of this info?
Ok, now I see... there is a new MLS stadium being built in Philly... about two hours north of Baltimore... and it's an 18,500 seat stadium.
"""CHESTER — With more than a year before Major League Soccer hits the turf at the planned $115 million Chester stadium complex, fans are greeting today’s groundbreaking ceremony with the team’s very first tailgating party.
......It will include 186 townhouses, 225 apartments, a 200,000-square-foot convention center, more than 42,000 square feet of retail space, 435,000 square feet of office space and a 1,350-space parking structure. Residents will begin to move in by the end of 2010. Gov. Ed Rendell has pledged $25 million in state funding for the 18,500-seat stadium and stressed the positive impact of the planned development.
Mayor Wendell N. Butler hailed today’s groundbreaking as an exciting moment for the city.
Sorry Mike...i stand corrected.
