Asked about last summer's rumours linking São Paulo midfielder Hernanes (23) with Barcelona (read more here), São Paulo sports director Marco Aurélio Cunha has confirmed in an interview with Brazilian radio station Jovem Pan that Barcelona has made an offer for the Brazilian player:
"We indeed received a bid for Hernanes from Barcelona. But they offered a ridiculous transfer fee and the board dismissed it. We're not like many other clubs who feel forced to sell players to pay their debts. São Paulo owns a part of the rights of a lot of their players, so we could have started negotiations, but in this case we decided not to."

Let's be honest. As I remember, they asked something about 23M! I think they were ridiculous, not Barca. He doesn't worth more than 12-15M. For 23M Barca could buy much more proven players such as Diego, Moutinho, Veloso, etc.. I just think Sao Paulo side become greedy, because they know they could sell him and try to suck every penny out of Barca's pocket.
Sell him to Real...we don't need him!!!
