FIFPro, the worldwide representative organisation for all professional footballers, announced today their FIFPro World XI 2007-2008.
In August and September this year the 45,000 professional footballers belonging to the 42 professional organisations across the world that form FIFPro received voting forms in a secret ballot to nominate their peers for inclusion in their “World XI” - choosing the four defenders, three midfielders, three forwards and goalkeeper they most admire.
Nine Barcelona players made the shortlist of 55 players (read more here). Carles Puyol, Xavi and Lionel Messi are part of the world's best team of last season.

When I first saw the reuslt, I looked for two things?
1. How many from BARCA (obvious)
2. How many from LaLiga.
I saw 5 from Liga and 5 from EPL.
So, I pointed to my friends who always say the Prem is way superior to the Liga that we Had 5 each. And MY BARCA had the most form any club 3 out of 11.
Happy for the guys tho. Ineiesta to make it next year.
that's a poor team, xavi and messi sure, puyol... no. alot of those players are just in there becuase they're big names, surprise surprise.
Puyol at least won the Euro Cup... what the hell did Kaka do last year? That's the only questionable one in my opinion.
Kaká is just plain and simple wrong. He hasn't been good since the CL semis against Man U in 2007.
heey second anonymous i predict u aint barca fan so what r u lookin in this website. so go somewhere else.
talking in that way for the captain u aint no faan
hahaa yep get the heck out of here..!!!
Wait... I'm the second anonymous... I was defending Puyol saying he won the Euro...
...did you mean the first anony.?
no he meant you... barca hating scum.
In all honesty captain or not, puyol is not in there through merit.
