British tabloid News of the World claims that Barcelona forward Thierry Henry (30) has told Barcelona manager Frank Rijkaard that he wants to leave the club at the end of the season. The French international has cited personal problems as the reason he wants to return to England. Henry wants to spend more time with his daughter Téa who is living with Henry's former wife Claire Merry in London. Barcelona would be ready to listen to proposals coming in.
The tabloid says it's nevertheless unlikely that Henry would return to his old club Arsenal since Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger would not want him back. Wenger allowed Henry to leave last summer because he felt that his compatriot had started to undermine his authority as manager and that he complicated the development of some emerging young players.
Chelsea would be the favourite to sign the Frenchman (read more here). Manchester City and Newcastle United would both also be interested in signing Henry and would even be ready to allow the player to commute from a London base.
Asked about the rumours of a summer return to England of Thierry Henry, Barcelona economic vice president Ferran Soriano told British radio station BBC Radio 5 Live that the French forward doesn't miss the Premier League and will remain with Barcelona next season: "I spoke with him a week ago and he is happy. We are not doing well in the domestic championship, but he is fine and I'm sure he is not coming back to the UK."

The Barcelona board should have the courage to let him go.
