this isnt good hopefully marquez is up to it

Marquez was back training normally before the cup game but i dont think pep wanted to risk it. Caceres and pique can hold the fort in the interim if marquez still isnt quite up to it.

Marquez-Pique is asking for disaster. I hope we keep playing the el libero-stopper system.

This had me so concern last night....

especially when you saw him on the bench holding his leg and looking up at I believe Pep and shaking his head. This could have been lost worse. I doubt he would come off the pitch if he were to be decapitated!

As boX says -"ok, its only ten days.."

This isn't really a big problem. Marquez have been magnificent and you could pair him up with either Caceres or Pique and they would do a good job.

That's just one league match. It's all good. I imagine they will try to give him more time, though. A tear is a bit worrisome. Those are usually overuse-related.

I'd be okay with dumping the Copa to Mallorca.

Ten days could be two league games. Plus the Copa game against Mallorca. Which I don't want give away, we're too close now!

Ah, that's right, fcbee. Thursday match. How soon I forget. He'll actually be out for Racing, the first Copa leg, and Gijon.

But I think we can win all three without him, as long as Marquez and Pique stay healthy. Sure wish Milito had come back on schedule.

Can you recover from a muscle tear within 10 days ? Milito will take another month. Maybe if Henrique has lost favour at Leverkusen despite good performances we could sign him back before the transfer window closes.

If the quadricep is where Puyol is holding his leg in that photo I can tell you from experience its a tricky thing. You figure you have recovered from it because you can train normally but under match conditions a sudden burst of acceleration or any other overstraining can prove dangerous.

I don't think getting Henrique back depends anything on whether or not he's lost 'favour' at Leverkusen. It all depends on the rules of the transfer window and whether or not we have a call back option for him. I think the agreement we have though, is that the summer is the earliest he can come back.
