Gesture of the day: Eto'o

Samuel, if you give me your shirt, I'll cut my hair like yours.

Iván Ramos, a nine-years old boy from Zaragoza, held this board at the Camp Nou on Thursday. Eto'o saw the board during the warming-up and gave a sign that he had understood the message. At the end of the game, he handed the boy his match shirt.

Iván yesterday went to the hairdresser but didn't have his hair cut in the end because he is to receive his first holy communion soon and his mother convinced him that Eto'o's new hair-cut "wouldn't look good on the pictures".

eto is a great person. he has open football academies in his country, and he always gives money to charity or go to charity events

football players should be that way, they should set an example that money doesnt always corrupt, they are the heroes of these children ,the kids say i wanna be like him some day.offcourse they have to like what they do and live their life as they want ,but what is better than a kid telling that he wants to be like you when he grows up ???
drugs?parties?alchohol?gambling?women? i think barcelona is setting an example of how football clubs should work.i love this club ,the fans and the players we have, we are mes que en club.

the thing about eto ,you can tell he is a good guy by the way he is always treating his opponents, always with a smile and when he hits someone (its football its gonna happen)he always cares pick them up and never turns his back....
some may say "but eto sweared when barca won the league at real madrid" yes and you still remember it,like zidanes headhit to materazzi, that doesnt make zidan or eto bad persons ,but it creates bad examples.eto was the first to apologize (he is a little hot headed and says what he thinks straight away).

sorry for the wall of text ,but eto is my favourite player and i was so sad that we wanted to sell him because of media junk articles,he is needed by barca, the last 2 years showed it ,this year the goals he scored till now showed it,he is the best striker in the world atm,i think if eto was brazilian he would have a chance at top player of the world awards.

go samuel bag 40 goals this year!!!!

after your comment theres a discussion point here about Barcelona setting an example the point is ....even if we don't win anything this year do you people really think Laporta should end his presidential term ? i know there are rules but rules are made to be broken if supporters wanted he could stay after all hes been through he stayed and made the situation better unlike our ''friends'' from Madrid who just walk out i think he should stay!!!!!!!!!!!

what's wrong with "drugs? parties? alchohol? gambling? & women?" skanjos? who are you to judge? ;^)

my opinion m8,i am talking about my thoughts here,i think those things are bad examples for kids thats all,you may think otherwise thought....

also for the president,i would favor laporta to stay,he has done a great work and i dont think there is a better man for the job out there.but seriusly i dont think there is even 1% chance he can stay .rules are there that cant be changed tha easily.after the season we are having almost everyone would want laporta to stay.

The kid didn't cut his hair?

Its going to be funny when Eto'o breaks down that kid's door and demands his shirt back.

He'll do it, too.

his haircut is a traditional african haircut. it is used to signal that he is going through a certain phase in his life. i am not sure which clan/lineage eto'o belongs to so i cant be more specific but it is definitly not just a style. it is symbolic and traditional.

So the kid's mother told him to neglect his promise?

I guess the boy never faced the choice whether he wanted to be a of member of this sect (church) or not.

Whatevaaaa... Eto'o probably doesn't care at all.

@Andrew MacPherson
That's interesting. Do you have some more information?
I reckoned Samuel wouldn't go for these crazy type of haircuts (more of an Alves-thing).
Personally, I liked it the most when he had the afro. :)
