Three Catalan goals for us...

Shouldnt Sylvinho get an assist for the first goal? Im just asking.

Isnt it like that in hockey? If someone shoots, the goal lets the ball/puck out and somone scores on the rebound, the shooter gets an assist.

they played everything than well yesterday. it wasn't a good game. the right side (alves, messi) didn't do well. pique was sometimes sleeping and the two goals against us? a defensive desaster.

after the 3-0 lead the team play and the tactics were stopped.

they only thing statisfied me yesterday was bojan with his second goal.

Yeah, I'm doubting on that one, peter. But since I didn't do this from the start of the season, I think it's not a good idea to start doing it in mid-season.

I would say that it would be an assist when the shot was very good an would cause any goalkeeper problems but no assist if the shot was weaker but the goalkeeper just made a mistake. It just shows again that the word "assist" is very debatable.

I think next year I will have two numbers for assists, a kind of minimum (really decisive passes) and maximum (more broader definition). I'll see.

Players can't be in peak form all the time. Nor do you want them to be. You want them to be peaking at the right time.

Exactly BESTPLAYERINTHEWORLD. I actually wished Messi was rested for this match as we will need a strong lineup for Racing. Plus he's been playing alot of games this month and it showed how tired he was in the match.

At the same time I understand why Gaurdiola included him as it is a 'win the game or lose the trophy' situation and if Messi didn't play and we lost, ppl would be criticizing Pep and blaming him for the Copa exit.
