Barcelona or Madrid for Benzema

Asked about the rumours linking him with several European top clubs (read more here), Olympique Lyon forward and French international Karim Benzema (20) has unconfirmedly said in an interview with French television channel France 2 that he plans to move to the Spanish league:

"I would like to play in Spain. I will play for Barcelona or Madrid next season. Some people have said that I don't have enough qualities. That's ridiculous. But I still have a lot to learn and I need to make progress. I am only 20 years old and I am working hard to get better."

I prefer renewing Eto'o, it's a risk to get an unproven Benzema.

Renew Eto.. all forms!
Get Benzema ..all forms!!
Sell Henry all.. forms!!!

Thats the way I see it.

i would love to see him replace henry,
mainly because frankly i can see eto'o staying top-level for 2 years maximum, and by then, bojan will be ready!

I think he will cost too much. Eto'o can at least serve for two more years, Bojan can be his back-up for that time and meanwhile we try to pick up some player on the cheap.

Eto'o should get renewal as soon as possible without any payment restrictions. He proved his great quality and he's 27, so he can stay at top form more than 2 years. I presume he has at least 3-5 years of great football ahead of him. I'm not impressed by Benzema. He's excellent player without a doubt, but he's very expensive. His top price should be no more than 35M. Everything more than that will be unrealistic.

We should buy Benzema if we can get him for a reasonable price say, 25-30 million euros and if we can sell Henry for at least 15 million euros. Blocking him from Madrid is a good incentive too, but we should definitely not overpay for him. If Madrid wants to pay 50 million + for him then let it be.

...there's no barca or madrid...there's only one option...barca or nothing...he should love us or leave us alone...either he has the blaugrana in blood or not...barca is bigger than him and there are enough who would sell their mom to come to us...he better realize!!!!!

Okay, if he wants Spain, Barca need to step up and make him a priority.
He's not a RM type. Get rid of Henry, maybe sell one more player to fund it, and get him. He, Eto'o, and Bojan can split time for another two years and then he and Bojan will be the formidable duo.

In the end, I think Karim Benzema will sign with RM this summer. Watching RM this year they look lost and don't look good even when they win.

The Spanish media criticize their back four but at the end of the day, this season will be summed up by RM not getting C-Ronaldo and losing the La Liga title to Barca.

With RM fans pissed (and embarrassed), Calderon makes a desperate decision and goes after Benzema guns blazing. RM will throw the bank at Benzema and Premier League teams (all in the red) and Barca (no need to break the bank when you already have Messi, Iniesta, Alves, Bjon, Eto (if he resigns) and Xavi) will be unable to compete.

Benzema will win more silverware with Barca (imagine Benzema, Xavi, Bjon, Messi, Iniesta, and Co - their youth and talent is scary), but no one will be able to throw the bank like RM. RM will over spend for one player (making the same Glacticos mistake) and lose to Barca again for the La Liga title the following season. Benzema will rot in Madrid and be forgotten as all athletes are only remembered for the trophies they win, and not the money they have.
