Bojan (2): "The first year is never easy"

Barcelona player Bojan gave an interview to Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo.

(you can read the first part of the interview here)

You're feeling more comfortable in the dressingroom this year?
Every year is different and in football, like in all aspects of life, everything changes. Sometimes you feel better, sometimes you feel worse. You shouldn't talk too much about that.

Maybe some little problem was exaggerated because things weren't going well...
It was my first year and things are never easy then, but I insist that all this is part of the past now.

It's easier this year because there are so many youth players in the squad?
Maybe, although both the Barcelona youth players and the foreigners are good people.

There's someone with whom you have a better relation?
Piqué. I have the best relation with him. I knew him already. We're very close friends.

You were surprised by the performances of Sergio Busquets?
Busquets is not the only one who surprised me, all the guys who got promoted did, although it wasn't a real surprise. I already knew their talent. This will help for more players to be promoted in the future.

One of your teammates has impresed you as a player?
Depending on what we're talking about, a lot. Players like Xavi, Iniesta, Eto'o, Henry, Messi. It's a pleasure to play with them.

And as a person?
They are all excellent people, but I would point out Sylvinho and Puyol.

What do you think about the new manager?
He has very clear ideas, he's a worker and he's ambitious.

The players seem happy, not only now but also before the season started. That's the influence of Guardiola?
Guardiola is a coach who doesn't only talks about tactical issues, but who also makes the group happy and united, who wants a good atmosphere and the results are helping to reach this.

What about Rijkaard?
I'm very grateful to him. He's a great coach and a great person. I lived special moments with him, the promotion to the first team, the debut in the Champions League...

This was the second part of this interview. You can read the third and last part tomorrow with Bojan talking - amongst other things - about his life outside football.
