West Ham again interested in Gudjohnsen

British tabloid The People claims that English club West Ham United is interested in Barcelona attacker and Iceland international Eidur Gudjohnsen (29).

New West Ham manager Gianfranco Zola wants his former Chelsea team-mate Eidur Gudjohnsen to join him and would already have made enquiries about the player. Zola hopes he can persuade Gudjohnsen to take a pay cut and switch to the English Premier League in January.

British tabloid The Daily Mirror claims that Gudjohnsen has a price tag of 6,5 million euro° and that West Ham is confident that Zola's friendship with the player could entice the Icelander back to England.

I wouldn't mind him leaving, we don't really need a replacement for him if he decides to join West Ham. On the other hand I wouldn't mind if he stayed, he is a decent player and accepts the bench.

i for one don't want guddy to go:
first of all i don't doubt his qualities and his versatility and second of all his work rate is better than any other player in barca. nuff sed.

I don't want him to go, but I'm also don't want him to be in our starting 11. He's our super sub.

he is a very humble player that accepts bench, he is very versatile and has experiences, but he is def not the starting 11 material.. i think pep should give more chances our young players and get rid of him, even though he is a decent guy..

Gudjohnsen is class, but his skill set is more suited for the Premiership. I just can't see him taking a pay cut for starting XI time with a bottom-table side, though.

I also think that, though he is being outclassed, particularly this season, his work rate and acceptance of whatever role Guardiola has for him is inspirational.
