Deco will announce Chelsea transfer soon

Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Barcelona midfielder and Portuguese international Deco (30) will announce in the beginning of next week that he will move to Chelsea.

With Inter Milan not wanting to pay the transfer fee asked by Barcelona, Deco will join former Portuguese national team coach Luiz Felipe Scolari at Chelsea.

Barcelona would receive a transfer fee of around 10 million euro° for the Portuguese midfielder. Deco will sign a three-year contract worth 6 million euro a year with the English Premier League club (read more here).

Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola repeated at press conferences earlier this week that he's not planning next season thinking about Ronaldinho, Deco and Eto'o (read more here) but he didn't exclude the players to stay in the end: "If they will start the pre-season with us, they will train with the group and will be threated exactly like the other players. And if it won't be possible to sell them, I will do anything to get the best out of them."

A good age to cash for a lazy, arrogant sod. Cheers for the years, but ta-ta.

Around 10mil sounds more like LESS than 10mil to me. Even 10mil is a tad low if you ask me. 15mil would have been ideal, I would have even considered 12-15mil. I guess the fee is low because it seems that only Chelsea is left in the running now that Inter's snapped up Lampard. So I guess Barcelona have to get whatever they can for him. It seems Barcelona is having a fire sale at their own expense while other teams are asking for the shirt off our backs for their players. I should hardly be surprised.
