Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Barcelona B captain and central defender and Spanish youth international Marc Valiente (21) has accepted an offer of Sevilla Atlético, the second team of Sevilla that plays in the Segunda División.
With Barcelona having bought several young central defenders this summer, Valiente has decided to leave after meeting with Sevilla sports director Monchi, who told the player he could be promoted to the first team quite soon. Although Valiente had one more year left on his contract, the club had promised the central defender that he could leave for free if he wasn't promoted to the first team.
Sevilla sports paper Estadio Deportivo reported two weeks ago that Valiente had received a three-year offer. The Catalan defender said then to the paper: "I like the proposal a lot. Sevilla is a club who counts on the youth academy players and, above all, I would be able to play in the second division, which is very important to me."
Valiente joined Barcelona in 1997 and plays for Barcelona B since 2005. He made his debut with the first team in November 2006 in a Copa del Rey game.

I hope he comes back to barca one day, by then he would have gained the experience of playing in the divisions B&A.
He's a great player with great quality , don't let a player like him slip away, we don't want to make the same mistake as we did with dos santos and cesc...
