Stigsby’s Statistics: Halfway… and the best ever?

By winning the match against CA Osasuna, FC Barcelona did not only win 3 important points to expand their lead to 12 points, but they also broke a team record previously held by the 05/06-team. The record in mention here is the record of most points achieved in the first half of the season.

The old record previously held by the Ronaldinho-era team were 46 points for 19 matches, whereas the current team now hold 47 points after only 18 matches, meaning that if the team wins against Deportivo next round they will beat the all-time Barca record by a total of 4 points! Furthermore FC Barcelona now share the all-time record for most points in the first half of the season for ANY team with… Real Madrid.

The current record for most points achieved halfway through the season is 47 points in 19 matches, giving our team a chance to break this and take the top-spot for ourselves! Earning points against Deportivo will give us a total of 48/50 points and thereby conquer the throne from Real Madrid.

Great stats Stigsby, with still lot of rooms to improve yet we're winning and conquering, when we have solid attacking left channel I think we can beat all the Cruijff's dream team record. Visca el Barca!!
