[Henrique] Bayer Leverkusen-Wolfsburg

Bayer Leverkusen played yesterday their eleventh Bundesliga game of the season. Bayer defeated Wolfsburg 2-0.

Brazilian central defender and Barcelona loan out Henrique (22) started the match and played the whole game in the centre of the Bayer defense.


Barcelona bought Henrique this summer and decided to loan him out to Bayer Leverkusen for one season (read more here). This blog will follow Henrique's performances during this season.

1st and 2nd place: group phase of Champions League

Reading some comments, he again had a very strong game.

Read some comments too, he seems to progress all the time.

At werkself.de, they're really going crazy about him now, talking about how solid their defense is since he picked up this good run of games and he possibly has the most influence in this.

4 games without conceding, against Wolfsburg he even got a 1.5 from sportal.de (best player on the pitch).

Exceptional, I hope he keeps up getting better, maybe a loan-extension would do him even better.
Our (central)defense for the next years should be set with Henrique, Piqué (something like Rafa's successors) and Cáceres and Milito (when Puyol retires).
