BArca has too many midfielders. What we need is a left wing forward and a left back to replace Abidal. The other position I am concerned about is goalkeeper. We need a better backup for Valdes.

I like this rumour though.
Gourcouff can play the role that Xavi is doing for Barcelona at the moment.
I don't see the other players we currently have that can do Xavi's job (Iniesta looks as making that left wing spot his very own).

Gourcuff is good player, but Rakitič is very good player.

i also think barca has enough midfielders...
xavi-iniesta-busquets-yaya T.-Hleb are all top class, and if they would like to sign a midfielder i would prefer cesc fabregas...

As the first poster mentioned, i would like to see a left winger (arshavin) and a goal keeper (akinfeev?)coming to barca instead of a midfielder...

I think it would be a great transfer we need a good backup for Xavi, I would love this starting and backup team next season:

Ribery - Eto'o - Messi
Gourcuff - Xavi
Touré
Abidal - Pique - Puyol - Alves
Valdes

Iniesta - Henry/Benzema - Bojan
Keita - Hleb
Busquets
Caceres - Milito - Henrique - ?
Asenjo

Ribery and Gourcuff are magical when they play together.
