Busquets not listening to offers by other clubs

Asked about the rumours linking Barcelona defensive midfielder and Spanish youth international Sergio Busquets (20) with a move to English Premier League club Arsenal (read more here), the player's agent Josep Maria Orobitg has denied the exit rumours in an interview with British sports site Setanta Sports, saying that the player is focused on securing a new deal with Barcelona:

"All the Arsenal talk is rubbish. The player is young, faithful to Barcelona, and has told me he will only listen to what Barcelona have to offer him. As a consequence we will not listen to other clubs. I keep on negotiating a new contract with them and hopefully we will reach an agreement soon."

It's up to Busquets to lower his demands. The best thing is that he is respected at barcelona and that he is not seen as a fringle player. above all, he should consider this, and from what I see he does. If he does leave, he has to start everything from the begining. He had made some mistakes this season and nobody at the club made him culpable for this mistakes.

The kid is willing to stay, he shows respect for the club, now Barcelona should show him some respect. You can't blame him that Barcelona waited too long to renew his contract.

What will they do otherwise? Again buying a player like Keita for 14 million and giving him a salary ten times as big as what they offer Busquets?!

Keita is proven, match in and match out in the Liga. His performance with Sevilla made him a relative bargain. Busquets is all potential, and a few good matches.

Those who say that we haven't seen what Keita can do are correct. But to use his salary as a point of comparison is almost like using Eto'o's salary as a point of comparison to that of Krkic.

I'm not using it as a point of comparison to say he should get the same, Kxevin.

I'm using it to explain that (even with those few matches) he's already worth more than one tenth of Keita's salary.

While at the same time not costing us one penny as transfer fee. Speaking about a bargain...

For us, Keita is also still all potential...

If I had to send one guy away of Touré/Keita/busquets at this moment, it would be (clearly) Keita. But the season is long.
