Vice president in London for Arsenal talks

Catalan radio station Catalunya Ràdio claims that Barcelona sports vice president Marc Ingla (picture) travelled today to London where he is negotiating with Arsenal on the transfers of Arsenal forward and Togo international Emmanuel Adebayor (24) and Arsenal midfielder and Belarussian international Alexander Hleb (27).

Barcelona would like to close a package deal for both players (read more here). Ingla will today talk directly with Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger.

i just don't get it but oh well if they do come to Barca, they better be on top form or this season might as well not even come for us

I may be alone in saying that I feel Barcelona are taking a huge risk here that could ultimately blow up in their face. Laporta and Guardiola are going "all in" tossing all their chips into the center of the pile in hopes that they are going to come up aces. At least I give them credit for having the cojones to do so because I certainly couldn't with so much riding on it. They certainly must know something we (the fans)don't.

Any signing that cost a lot of money is a big risk and if we would sign Villa (40 million), Berbatov (30 m.) Gomez (25 m.) etc. etc. we would also take a big risk. I think Ade could do well in Barcelona and unlock the games with his length, physical play and heading as it would be a unique style of play compared to any other forwards in the current squad.

About Villa, why have 2 players (Bojan and Villa) that are almost exactly the same type?

Hola Pep with this vote of no confidence that is going on, is the likelihood that Rosell will become the new chairman. If so has he expressed the ways in which he will revolutionize Barca, as in what players other than 'Kun' will he hope to bring. Is he realistic of more of a Calderon promising an impossible KAKA, Cesc, Ronaldo combination.

First there's a vote of no confidence on July 6th.

If two thirds of the socio's who are going to vote, vote in favour, then we'll have presidential elections (at the end of August?).

If there are elections, it's likely that Rosell participates.

If he takes part, he's almost the sure winner.

Will their be two thirds? Difficult, but you never know how those things go.

Will Rosell participate?
He didn't pronounce yet, but it seems he's been putting his team together.

What will his project be?
Difficult to say somethign serious about that now. But on the transfers: I think he's more realistic than Calderon. And he showed with Ronaldinho and Deco that he has the charisma to convince players who maybe can earn more in another club to join Barcelona. That's why he will be the absolute favourite in the next elections, whether those will be held in two months or in two years.

Eto'o to leave and Adebayor to come in. That is disgraceful and sad.

please barca.. dont do this kind of stupid business again.. Adebayor miss lots and lots and lots of scoring chance last season.. he isn't a good striker.. + his worse discipline! instead, keep eto'o, its really hard to find a world class striker like him..

dont buy either one of them.. but keep eto'o and buy podolski, if ronnie set to let..

Great suggestion! Podolski is the perfect man to replace Ronaldinho.. Although, not so skillful like Ronaldinho, but play hard, good pace, good passing skill, powerful left foot + good right foot, etc..
