Van der Vaart to replace Ronaldinho

Madrid sports tabloid As claims that Barcelona is lining up Hamburg midfielder Rafael van der Vaart (25) to replace Barcelona playmaker Ronaldinho (28).

Barcelona would have excellent scouting reports about the Dutch international and is in a constant dialogue with his agent Bayram Tutumlu. If Barcelona wants to oficially announce the transfer of Van der Vaart soon after the transfer of Ronaldinho to Milan is made public, the negotiations with German club Hamburg on the transfer price should nevertheless be speeded up. Van der Vaart, whose mother is Spanish, would be delighted to play for Barcelona.

pep's opinion:
nice try, Tutumlu!

Interesting. Tutumlu is of course also the manager of Cristian Poulsen, but also of Michael Laudrup

This article has a lot of mistakes.
First of all - Ronaldinho is not a playmaker in Barca, in 90% of his time here he was playing like at left. Can you see Van der Vaart playing there ?

If he comes at Barca, it would be more correct to say that he'll replace Deco, not Ronaldinho.

Anyway, I think that we need a midfielder with a strong and deadly shot from distance. Van der Vaart is having that and I like it.

Bullshit rumour from the pro-Madrid paper AS.

Ok, van der Vaart is a huge barca fan and would for sure love to join Barcelona. Still, I don't think Barca are interested. Not as first option anyway.

I would go for Modric anyway. A better player.

Tutumlu is not the agent of Poulsen, he acted as some go-between in the transfer from Schalke to Sevilla. Poulsen had to come out to clearify that at this moment he has no mandate to talk to other clubs and that he is represented by Jorn Bonnesen, a Danish lawyer.

Tutumlu is also the guy who brought Koeman to Valencia, by the way.
