Real Madrid wants to imitate Barcelona

Calderón:
We have to imitate Barcelona against Atlético next weekend!

Schuster:
I will try.
And to start with, I've already discovered where Guardiola buys his suits...

This is funny, but there is also a realistic message between the lines.

Barcelona Fans complain about the fixtures, RM will play against the team already played against Barcelona one week before. it will give RN an advantage that they will face an exhausted team and probably a team suffering some suspensions after earning cards while trying to defend against Barcelona.
but in the other hand, every time Barcelona do their job, RM will be under huge pressure, not only to win, but also to match performance, that will be a very stressful task for RM mentally and physically if it kept going week after week. And when the two teams meet, Barcelona will be more ready because they have been always in the position of doing the action not the reaction.
I am not saying such kind of factors will decide the title winner, but its one of the little things that make an impact.

So whether the fixture will be with or against Barcelona, depend entirely on the way they perform, if they did well, the pressure will be on the other team, if not then they will give a boost for the other team to take advantage of that.

Yeah the fixture list is quite messed up this year. Im not sure if it is a disadvantage or an advatage to us. Ramzi you quite rightly pointed out some of the disadvantages. I think another advantage might be that these teams will all want to bounce back after we trounce them :) I am pretty sure Athletico madrid will come back strong after what we did, they certainly wont play the same way against Madrid. We saw Espanyol do the same against Real (at home no less) where they played an excellent game and were unfortunate not to win really.

LOL ..
To be honest I think Real will be able to beat Atletico, unless Atletico could put up a Champions League performance they might have a chance, but rating their defense last week, they would'nt have any problems losing. but I doubt Real can get a score like Barcelona 6-1 ! .. With Sporting Gijon it was understandable, but with A.Madrid a club with top players .. It's something to be proud of :)

@Ramazi, I have a question about the fixtures. When Carbon Madrid play Barca in December who will Madrid get to play the following week ? Won't the fixtures change after we go head to head ?

I've said this from the very beginning. It was the first thing I checked when the fixtures were out cause in the last two season Madrid played the team that had played Sevilla and Valencia the week before and I considered that as a advantage already. Sevilla-Barcelona-Madrid-Villareal, that's the series this season (and it doesn't change after head-to-head, fcbfan). Let's agree something's not normal there.

Mentally and physically it's very hard to be on top two weeks after each other. Plus: some red cards that can influence. Plus: the fact that Madrid can always see how their next opponent plays against a strong team. Schuster also has already said it's an advantage because his staff is now every week analyzing a Barcelona game which will give Madrid an advantage when they will play Barcelona. I have to say I mostly see disadvantages. Villareal, who comes behind Barcelona and Madrid, is apparently also taking advantage of it.

Madrid plays Valencia after us. The Week before when they face Seville we play Valencia so Madrid finishes the rotation with Sevilla.

The order is like Sevilla, Barca, Madrid, Villareal.

Basically we skip the rotation to Valencia for a week while waiting for Madrid to finish their part of the rotation (Sevilla) and after our match we go back to the queue (Villareal) and Madrid delays a week by playing Valencia so we're ahead one week again.
