German tabloid Bild claims that Barcelona would already have been holding secret talks with Schalke 04 attacking midfielder and Croatian international Ivan Rakitić (20) about a January transfer.
Asked about the rumour that Barcelona would be preparing a 14 million euro° bid for Rakitic (read more here), Schalke manager Fred Rutten is quoted as saying he doesn't know anything about the issue.

I don't believe it, but it could nevertheless make sense if Touré would leave.
If you play Busquets/keita at DM and Iniesta/Hleb at left wing, you could use another guy (Rakitic or someone else) for the position next to Xavi...
i thought rakitic is forward,good replacement for gudjohnsen not for yaya the king toure.clearly, price offer is too much for him that he couldnt improve in last two years.maybe he is a balloon transfer for us.
I already told what I think about his transfer to Barca at the post:
"Barcelona prepares bid for Rakitic", so I don't want to spend the words for him.
@andres: he's AM, and I don't think he could be a good replacement for anyone in Barca team.
Anyway, price is unrealistic, because Barca could get far better player for that money such as Affelay (BTW, PSV asking 8M for him-of course Arsenal is interested) or Hamsik (one of the best young midfielders in the Europe!).
I just hope it's a pure German speculation. Guys, please don't buy him.
