Official presentations coming up

With Josep Guardiola ending his Barcelona B job this afternoon, it is generally expected that he will be officially presented as the new Barcelona manager on Monday or Tuesday.

Once Guardiola has been presented, the players that have already signed a contract will follow and will be presented at a press conference.

Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo thinks that Piqué, Cáceres and Keita will be presented this week and doesn't exclude that even Daniel Alves could already be handed his shirt by the end of this week.

Catalan sport paper Sport thinks that the players will only be presented one week later: Keita possibly on Tuesday 24th, Alves on Wednesday 25th, and Cáceres and Piqué the following days.

Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo claims that Luis Enrique will also be presented as the new Barcelona B coach this week.

I'm sure Laporta is practising RIGHT NOW his best smile before the mirror. For the presentation of Alves.

Ah, the good ol' days. That pic of Dinho you posted along with the article realy brought back memories....Laporta better thank his lucky stars he got Alves because otherwise it would have been a less than stellar transfer summer for Barcelona so far. No disrespect intended towards Keita, Caceres and Pique, but they aren't exactly marquee, headliner names when discussing such a prestigious and world renowned team.

It's really unique (and so a bit weird) that a right back is the star transfer of a club. But it's really gonna be this way.

I think even if we get a sriker like Villa or Ibrahimovic, most fans will still see Alves as the number one summer transfer.
