Youth: Gai Assulin

Dutch soccer site Europe Soccer claims that Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam is interested in Barcelona B player Gai Assulin, who turned 17 last week. Barcelona would consider to loan out the player for one season in order for him to get some more experience at the top level. It is believed that the player could fall somewhere between the first team and Barcelona B next season. Gai would like the option to play one year for Ajax. The Israeli international is speaking some Dutch since he lived before in the Netherlands and in Belgium cause of his father's work.

Catalan sports paper El Mundo Deportivo meanwhile claims that Gai has good options to be part of the first team squad as of next season. The good performances of Catalan forward Bojan Krkic (17) and Mexican right winger Giovani Dos Santos (18) are opening the door for other players from the Barcelona youth academy. And Barcelona is anyhow looking for left wing attackers (read more here), which is the current position of Gai with Barcelona B.
