Rijkaard will stay

Catalan sports paper Sport says that Barcelona has decided to continue next season with current manager Frank Rijkaard (45). The Dutchman will only leave if Barcelona finishes the Liga with a lot of point behind Real Madrid, gets eliminated in the quarter finals of the Chamions League ànd doesn't win the Copa del Rey.

Rijkaard has made clear that, whatever happens, he won't leave out of free will and, together with Barcelona sports director Txiki Begiristain, he has already started planning for next season.

Guess we could finish way behind Madrid, we could be out in quarters (let's wait for the draw) and we could not win the copa...

Rijkaard should be sacked even if we win Copa del Rey. His era is over.

We shouldn't forget what he did for the club. I hope he can leave at the end of the season to Milan with a trophy.

Some people forget too easy Rijkaard is probably the best manager Barca ever had second only to Cruyf. he has delivered the titles and is well on his way to deliver more people need to stand behind Rijkaard in a show of sloidarty instead tearing him and the team apart much like rivals would. I realize more is expected of a team like Barca but its only because of Rijkaard that the bar was raised so high. Believe me people if indeed he does leave you'll be eating your words and wish he never left.

I totally agree we shouldn't start cheaply bashing Rijkaard and always keep in mind what he has meant to the club.

But if you can't win a trophy in two years with this squad, he'll have to leave. That's just a simple football law.
