Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Juventus forward David Trezeguet (30) had already signed a pre-agreement with Barcelona in the summer of 2004, when he in the end decided to stay in Italy after a phone call by manager Fabio Capello (read more here). Capello would have contacted Trezeguet because he was asked to do so by a befriended intermediary. The new situation opened the way for Barcelona to start negotiating and later sign a deal with Mallorca forward Samuel Eto'o (27).

And thanks for that Crosas interview. I'll listen to it and put it up here if there's something related to transfers (for example him saying something about what he wants for next season).
