Getafe is the ideal manager step-up

Asked about the recent rumours linking him with Barcelona (read more here and here), Getafe manager Michael Laudrup (43) told at a press conference that this proved he was doing a good job and that it's a reason to be proud. Meanwhile in Nyon, where officials of Getafe and Barcelona had a short informal meeting previous to the European draws, Barcelona sports director Txiki Begirsitain declared that Laudrup is performing very well at Getafe but that he had no intention to sound out the Dane at this moment.

Getafe president Ángel Torres said that the interest for Laudrup, not only from Barcelona, makes it clear that his club is doing very well at choosing their manager. Cause after Quique Sánchez Flores (Valencia) and Bernd Schuster (Real Madrid), Laudrup could be the next manager leaving for a big club.

Indeed, indeed, that would be an incredible three in a row for such a modest club.

Have all the culés in the world forgot about Laudrup? He betrayed us the day he became a Real Madrid player. I never want to see him on the bench as coach for Barça.

What's next, F*go as his assistant?

:-)))

If he would win the CL, everybody would love him anyway, I think. But I don't know if Barcelona would take the risk for the reason you mention.

Although I do think that there's stille a degree in the betrayal comparingLaudrup and Figo... ;-)
