Liverpool defensive midfielder Javier Mascherano (23) will not play for Barcelona as of next season, like had been rumoured last month (read more here).
On Friday, Mascherano signed a four year contract with Liverpool, the club he joined in February of 2007. Liverpool is reported to have paid a transfer sum of 24,4 million euro to investment group MSI.

Great player but I think we have Touré for that position, so it would be quite a useless buy.
