I think we should look at the option Thiago Neves for the left wing he played very well in the olympic games with Brazil and he scores a lot of goals

Yes best option is Thiago Neves
Buy him Barça

I totally agree,Neves would be the best possible option
I hope that Barca realise that transferw

Could be a blessing in disguise that Silva renewed if we end up getting Neves instead. I think he would suit the left wing role a lot better and also has a much better eye for goal.....plus free kicks!!

well i have a good feeling about Neves, even though as i mentioned before, its always very risky to sign a player directly from south america to play for a big team in europe. Most of the time those talanted players collapse rather than adapt...but when i think about it balancing how risky Arshavine will be, the fact that Vicente is injury prone and may not be offloaded for cheap by valancia...and because i dont want to be too creative to be realistic suggesting to try martins in that position...i believe Neves is the most reasonable risk to take, and the most promising option to put ur bet on.
I know i have been little crazy in my suggestions but i felt we needed some new flavours here hehe

i think that neves is probably worth the risk. not every player coming to a big club is destined to fail so maybe neves will work, he ticks every box for what we are looking for from a LFW, plus providing an aerial threat with his height, not sure about his heading ability? anyone know a rough post olympics price as i hope we dont get another arsharvin/silva saga. if barca want him they should go hell for leather and get him soon coz he's gonna be turning alot of peoples heads soon if not now.
also barca are at their best when you have catalan core of team with brazilian attacking flair - romario, ronaldo, rivaldo, ronaldinho - if he turns out half as good as them i'd be happy

I think barça should look at the option of Diego Capel or barça can try make a new offer for Arshavin

Neves would be great. I think he has a bucketload of potential and he is definitely one for the future. The goals he scored against China yesterday were fantastic! I think we should definitely go for him. That being said, after last nights performance I think our team is fine without him....remember we still have Messi to come back and we have Pedro and Jeffren who both look very promising and if we can take a chance with Neves we can take a chance with them and not need to spend.

Buy Hernanes for the Attacking midfield role, and play Hleb on the left wing. Visca El Barca ..

Barca 2009-2010.

It didn't go through but always interesting to read stuff like the Melo interest.

Anony Capel is a good player but 3 reasons make me believe he is not the right player to seek.
1)Do u really wana mess with del nido?hehe...even if Capel has a minimal release clause its a norm that clubs dont use/abue it if the owner team r not welling to sell.
2)more important reason is that he announsed that he is a real madrid fan.
3)the most important reason is that even though capel is a good winger hugging the line, but i believe a barca winger need to be able to cut inside more often that capel do, i am aware that the winger is needed to open up...but still he must be able to cut inside, thats something Capel dont do often, he dribble and cross, and having eto as a striker(not edibayor)means that crosses r not going to be a natural option for the team, which make me little bit worried how the team will unlock tight (ten behind the ball)defence.

Diego or Neves would both be a very good option for Barca. But Klaus Allofs would not sell Diego... definetly not yet. The only way would be to buy Diego after the world championship 2010. One year before his contract ends.

Thiago Neves would be the next Rivaldo at Barca. That's a realistic option.

I think Arshavin is off the list. His club is like a mafia.

Hi guys!
First of all i have to say this is a great blog, Pep you are really doing well!
Second, i have a question, i live in the Netherlands and i want to watch Barca games (live) on the internet without having to go to sites like www.myp2p.eu or any of those kind of sites. So i was wondering if Barca TV is what im looking for and if there is a difference between Barca TV and Barca TV Online or if its the same.
I bet you guys can help me out! Thanks in advance!

Mauro Icardi is curently playing with Juvenil B.

You can order Barca TV Online on club's official website and costs 50 € a year, but only shows friendly matches.

I really like silva...and i guess i would have liked seeing him in blaugrana colours but i really dont see why we really needed him..
pedro(also known as pedrist) and jeffren are there...i think pedro will come to the first team 100%..
but jeffren might get loaned out some where but hes still gonna come bak in a year..so we get pedro...and we already have henry, iniesta, hleb and maybe at times even bojan(it doesnt happen but yehh...)i know non of those players are real left wingers (except i think pedro used to play there at times?not sure..correct me if wrong)but we have alot of choices and we'll get jeffren next year who will most likely join the first team...any ways even if silva did come they were gonna play him in attack which i dont think would work very well...

sry i meant also known as pedrito not pedrist :b

Thanks Alenardo.

Just adding that Icardi has been doing pre-season with Juvenil A, although it is expected he won't be promoted permanently. At this moment he's out for 2-3 weeks after he broke his collar bone at training.

For those who don't know him: Mauro Icardi is a 15 years old Italo-Argentinian forward who signed for Barcelona earlier this year (beating clubs like Real Madrid, Arsenal, Liverpool).

Arshavin's got the experience and versatility. Neves is Cristiano Ronaldo Lite. that said, though, either one is better than Silva.

hopefully we put in a new play for Arshavin since Spurs' attempt petered out. Neves' price after the Olympics is going to be insane; he's too big a part of the Fluminese team and he's performing too well over in China. there's also been no sign he wants to leave the club.

Arshavin, however, is desperate to leave Zenit, they should know by now that they aren't going to be able to offload him to any other club this summer. we give them a reasonable price (20m or so) and come to a personal agreement with the player (which would be Txiki calling him and asking him when he can make the next flight to Spain), and Zenit should cave.

at least we're focused now on the right position, a pure left winger, instead of a redundant central striker.

Heh, Felipe Melo trash-talked Messi because he was bitter that Barça didn't buy him. At least that's how I see it.
