Van der Vaart to make decision soon

Asked about the rumours linking Hamburg attacker and Dutch international Rafael van der Vaart (25) with a summer move (read more here), the player's agent Søren Lerby has said to journalists in Spain that the situation of the Dutchman will be further discussed from next week on:

"There are a lot of clubs that are interested in him and we are looking at all the options. But he's on holiday and there's nothing decided yet. Of course he would like to play in Spain, it's a strong league. I think we'll make a final decision in the coming weeks."

I'm either being too naive, or overstating it, but I truly feel that if faced with similar offers from Barcelona and Real Madrid I would assume Van de Vaart would choose Barcelona - if he is as "passionate" as he says about one day wearing the blaugrana shirt. Of course money has a way of changing opinions and "perception" quite quickly.

Would everyone just get off the Van der Vaart bandwagon right about now.i mean he's good but not as good as he was , so thus it would be correct to say his skill is declining and maybe he's reached his peak. He's 25. Barcelona is looking for a left winger. I know Van der Vaart is left footed but he isnt a winger, much too slow among other things. We have already enough central players, although if we were to somehow acquire Pirlo i would argue. But van der Vaart isn't the solution. Neither is Silva, sorry to break it to you guys. Football isn't just names or one big games , it's a whole season of which 3 goals and 5 assists as a barca attacking midfielder and regular starter wont do, sorry Silva, truths hurts. They are better options and ppl that can develop like Ronaldinho did. Plus it really doesnt seem right now that Ronnie and Eto'o are leaving, many factors: their prices, new board with new ideas, etc. Having Eto'o will be great, i dont know about Dinho tho. Maybe having a winning squad with everybody happy and him being left out and having to fight for his position will motivate him, well both him and Eto'o (to me Eto'o always seems like he wants goals , so no problems there). i hope Pep will be a hardnosed jose mourinho / Gus hiddink type that will be prepared to always play his best 11 , whether that means not starting the big guns....Hard work pays off...Intensity on the training ground.....Please get it right this year fellas....enough of your eogs...More heart , fight , spirit , unity , passion , heroics , do-or-die mentality , never -give-up mentality , and of course WINS!!!!!!!!!
I LOVE BARCA!!!!!
MORE THAN A CLUB!!!!!

* From above ...i meant i wouldn't argue if we got Pirlo....GREAT Addition to our club...I like the fact that players have to compete for their spot. But also be happy (well...a team player...not complaining but proving) when their not in the starting eleven and give their support as a team mate. It means the concentrate more and give more.....I hope this is what happens....Barca players with a drive to succeed.
