Barça B: Luis Enrique building a new team

Catalan sports paper Sport gives today an overview of how new Barcelona B manager Luis Enrique is composing the Barcelona B team that next season will again play in the Spanish third division.

The contract of centre forward José Emilio Guerra (26) has been extended for one year and the contract of midfielder Abraham González (22) has been automatically renewed.

The players who will certainly not continue are central defender and captain Marc Valiente (21), second goalkeeper Pau Torres (21), right back defender Rafael "Fali" Romero (22) and attacking midfielder Dimas Delgado (25), who already joined Primera División team Numancia (read more

Barcelona is holding talks on the transfer of Zaragoza B central defender Raúl Goni (19), who made his debut for Zaragoza's first team last season. Luis Enrique is also looking for a right back and a left back defender.

At least four players from the Juvenil teams will be promoted to Barcelona B: Juvenil A centre forward Rubén Rochina (17), Juvenil A attacking midfielder Thiago Alcántara (17), Juvenil A attacker Iago Falqué (18) and Juvenil B defensive midfielder Oriol Romeu (16). When Juvenil A defender Marc Muniesa (16) has recovered from an injury, he is expected to also join Barcelona's second team.

Valiente was said to go to Sevilla B, but that's not yet officially confirmed by any of the clubs and Barcelona denied it.
