Barcelona vice president confirms triplet exit

Barcelona sports vice president Marc Ingla (picture) has confirmed the planned exits of Barcelona players Ronaldinho, Eto'o and Deco (read more here) in an interview with Catalan radio station Catalunya Ràdio and says they will probably leave before August:

"After having talked with them, I think it's very unlikely they will still be part of the squad by then. All three are very prestiguous and attractive players and they are talking with several clubs where they could continue their career. I don't think there will be a problem to transfer them. Interesting offers are coming in."

Ingla denied two concrete rumours: "Los Angeles Galaxy did not make any offer for Ronaldinho. At this moment, Manchester City has the most chances to sign him. And I cannot confirm that Deco will join Chelsea cause we didn't yet receive an offer from that club."

Ingla added that the board will try to close all incoming transfer deals before July the 6th, the day on which the vote of no confidence against the current board will be held.

I hope the socis sack you on July 6th, because you're ruining this club.

Bring in Rosell and save the club!

I don't think Barcelona has done that badly with their summer transfers so far. Sure they've been linked to certain players that I'm sure some of us wouldn't approve of, but they haven't signed any of them...just yet. I think it's only fair to wait till the transfer season has ended to offer a fair assessment of which direction the club is heading in.
The absence of Deco, Dinho, an Eto'o was already a forgone conclusion. With Guardiola's appointment as the new coach the club is looking for a fresh start and a whole new, positive attitude outside and inside the locker room especially. This team has to move forward, in a new direction. And that wouldn't be possible if Deco, Dinho and Eto'o were allowed to remain with the club.

Barcelona is only interested in the transfer pay package and not for the players. They just feel that, these three players are geting old and they want to make use of their names for money. But there are just no two pairs to replace Dinho and Eto'o. For all what they have given to Barcelona for the past three seasons, they deserve respect to be treated this. Who Guardiola to go about saying rusbish. Barca is simply going the wrong direction...
