Inter president denies Xavi interest

Asked about the rumours linking him club with the player (read more here), Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has denied to journalists that his club would be interested in signing Barcelona midfielder and Spanish international Xavi Hernández (28) stating that the club is looking at other options to strengthen the midfield:

"I don't think we're interested in Xavi. Mourinho likes Lampard a lot, we'll see if we can transfer him. Deco is also a player with the right qualities to play at Inter, but we can't buy them all."

Pep, one suggestion! Why dont you put your opinion on each post so people around can argue more?
News about Barca are great, but it would be much better if this would be place to exchange opinions about Barca...
Just an opinion...thanks

Thanks for the suggestion, very nice to know people are feeling involved with this blog!!!

Sometimes I give my opinion, but I don't want to pronounce myself the big Barcelona expert and comment on everything. Sometimes it's better let somebody else start the discussion.

People also don't need my opinion to express their own, I think. I already regularly read good exchanges of opinions without me being involved, so that's a good thing.

But soon I'll try some things to bring some more interaction!

You're doing a great job pep! Keep us up-to-date. Perhaps you should change the blog theme for more excitement, just my suggestion. Thanx.

Also thank you...

I'm considering to expand the theme (so not only focusing on transfers, that's what you meant right?), but I think that would need other people to get involved cause I'm approaching some time limitations with the transfers.

I'll launch a call somewhere in the coming weeks. But really motivated volunteers can already leave their mail address somewhere...

Inter's reaction is pretty much what I expected. Xavi's future away from Barcelona was never in doubt. He and Puyol will be at Barcelona until the day their legs tell them no more. They will then be inducted into the pantheon of past greats to don the azulgrana jersey. They have been icons for the team, the city and it's fans for well over a decade. And thus will remain in the hearts of the Barcelona faithfull forever.

If you do expand the theme of your blog, please don't diminish the quality of your transfer news. I think you do an admirable job translating reports in an honest and timely fashion. Far better than other sources I know of.

the visits from the barcelona area are rising, so who knows... but i think barcelona officials have now betterthings to do than read comments on all those blogs that exist. maybe if the blog keeps growing, one day they will all read us... ;)

blaugranafan:
thanks. and that's exactly the point, if i do something i want to do it good, that's why i chose to focus on the transfers. i can't expand and keep up the quality (i even see room for improvement in the transfer area) when i don't get other people involved. but we'll see, this blog is only four months old and it goes quite fast.
